My rating: 4/5 stars

K.C.Lynn is not very hyped regarding her books, which is a pity, but her style and stories are addictive. I discovered her when reading “Beautiful Insightful” and I LOVED the story. It was dark, sexy, and intense, all the elements I needed to keep on reading until I finished the story. After that, I searched for her books and tried to click as many as possible, because if you are in a reading slump, there are the perfect remedy.

Braxten is the second volume from a 3 book series called The Creed Brothers. Like all of her books, the story has a darker twist, because it is violent, often with marks of abuse and trauma, but that blends so well with the healing power of love. I don’t recommend it to a weak audience, because the scenes can be graphic. Here I am referring to the violent ones, but also the loved ones. Told you, best combo EVER.

So, Braxten Creed finds on his property a beaten-up girl, who has no recollection of who she is. She only knows her name, but no more than that. After seeing her like this, Braxten feels very protective over Alice and takes her home, taking care of her together with his brothers and the rest of his family.

Alice is very vulnerable, but with Braxten she feels safe, even though she knows someone is watching her. Her body is given testament to older wounds, so she has a history of violence that needs to be investigated. As you can imagine, she falls hard for Braxten because it’s impossible not to notice him. His protective and intensive sides are overwhelming and they will be caught in a very dangerous situation because Alice is a part of his past and he doesn’t know it yet.

I’ve read the book in 2 days because it is very dynamic and intense, with a very light subject, but addictive and very nice to follow. I am not a very great fan of this kind of intensity that a man is radiating, but considering I read for relaxation, I can totally be okay with it. I recommend the book, it can be read as a stand-alone very easily.
