I seriously think that this book is my favorite so far… I love the original series and this spin-off and even though I feel that I know what it’s about to happen, I just can’t stop reading and feeling all mushy and giggly together with the characters.
Sam’s writing energy is off the charts and she managed to deliver in an impressive amount of months the books, without making us wait too long for another story. Just for fact, 3 more books are to be released in 2024!!!!!
So yes, I liked this book the most because it came as a surprise from both parts: I was not expecting Sarah to be like this and I was not expecting Theo to be like THAT!! Theo has made it into my top 3 men from this series and I couldn’t be happier with this revelation. The alpha asshole was, I believe, a surprise for all readers.
Sarah is not just a shy Scot, working on Ardnoch Estate. She is a successful writer, full of life and creativity, whose work has paid off more than she could dream of. Her books are bestsellers and she wants to take her dream to the next step and asks Theo for a business proposal – to bring her story on a screenplay and adapt it on TV. Theo is unwilling to do so immediately, but soon he is enchanted by her stories and way of writing and soon they begin working together.
This is not your average physical love story, because they are united more from a creative POV, and from then on they develop into something more. Sarah is not so shy and knows what she wants and Theo is letting his past get the best of him. Although he is afraid and makes mistakes in this behavior, you can feel how genuine and good fellow he is. They click so well together, creatively and romantically, and even with their differences, they make SENSE.
Samantha’s pairing is so good and her writer feeling is off the charts because she finds common elements to link them and antithetical elements to enrich their qualities and make them unique. She knows how to make her characters shine and develop so nicely, that you cannot help yourself from falling HARD.
I was not expecting Sarah and Theo to be like this, to be so intense and inspirational, but I loved them and loved their chemistry. This is certainly my favorite book and looking forward to reading about Allegra and Jared. 😀
