My rating: 4/5 stars

I found a new author who I enjoy and connect with regarding style and story. Stephanie Archer is a brilliant writer and her style is so IT for me, therefore I was caught immediately by her stories and loved her characters so much. Sometimes I just want a relaxing story, with love, a little drama, but also humor and lots of smiles and the “Queen’s Cove” series hits the mark perfectly.

This story has its unique heroes – Hannah and Wyatt, 2 very different persons who come together in funny circumstances. To begin with, their story is more steamier than Emmet’s and Avery, and also much longer. I cannot comment on the steamy level, but I think the story was longer than expected and it dragged the plot towards being boring. Yes, the characters were enjoyable, and their attraction was really fun to read about but it should have been 100 pages shorter. This is why I marked it a 4, instead of a 5.

Hannah is tired of being a bookworm, doing the same things all over again and she is determined to change her life. She wants to be a hot girl, brave and confident, to put her ideas into practice when it comes to her bookstore and she will do it, step by step. For all of this, she will need a hot guy who has the experience and can teach her the theory but also the practical part of intimacy. Wyatt is not interested in relationships – his passion is surfing and he will do everything in his power to leave Queen’s Cove and have a professional career.

They begin this friendship relationship by surfing together every morning and realizing that they enjoy each other’s company, so their attraction becomes more and more obvious. It was really fun seeing them evolve from friends to lovers, and as I told you, there were a lot of hot scenes for you to choose from, but also funny ones, where Hannah was totally out of her comfort zone.

I loved the way Hannah developed into a confident young lady, I loved her passion for Romance books and her ideas to make the business profitable, but more than that, I loved Wyatt’s confidence and the way he fell first for her. You rarely see in books vulnerable guys, that are not afraid to tell their ladies how they feel. Until now, I loved how the heroes are crafted, funny, and confident, but also vulnerable when they are in love. The fact that Romance books were always mentioned put a big smile on my face and also, I loved Wyatt’s nickname for Hannah – “bookworm”. 😀

So, heading out to book 3, because I have a good feeling about it.
