My rating: 4/5 stars

I discovered Mona at the beginning of the year with Maxton Hall and I loved her. Her writing style is not so complicated, but based on emotions, which is exactly what I need in a good book. After this, a very good friend recommended the “Again” series and the first book was a success for me. It was easy yet addictive, but it had a little bit of drama and the right amount of love. I will definitely continue it because I feel it’s going to leave a mark on me.

Begin Again” tells the story of Allie, a rich girl who runs from her past and family and tries to start over in a small town where she can be far away from her mother. Allie is trying to be as normal as possible and thrive on her own, having a diploma and being independent. This is imperative for her and nobody will ever take that away from her. She is looking for an apartment and it happens that Kaden, our lead protagonist, is also looking for a roommate. So, this adventure begins like this, with the 2 of them practically hating/ignoring each other, but being impossible to keep a safe distance.

With small steps and gestures, Allie and Kaden grow close together and even if they would want to be only friends, it will be impossible to stay away. They both have a lot of baggage and things from their past will make them very cautious, but in the end, the heart will prevail.

Kaden is not your average male hero, he is a little misunderstood, but kind, with some mix personality going on, but a good guy, who needs a loving heart by his side. Allie is keen on keeping her independence and wants to leave her past behind because she deserves MORE. They are both bent, but together they can find a way of healing each other.

What can I say? I am a sucker for these love stories because they are not perfect, but with the proper person and communication, a solid foundation can be built. Allie and Kaden had a tumultuous relationship and I understood them both because even at a fragile age, they suffered a lot. Mona is keeping the mystery until the end, when all the pieces are put together, and believe me, it will shock you a little.
