My rating: 4/5 stars

I won’t write an extremely long review because this book is not about a specific plot or action; it’s about feeling, about searching and longing, feelings I’ve enjoyed greatly with Tristan and Morana.

The book starts exactly where Predator ended, with something definitely twisting for Tristan and Morana, but nothing is certain because their worlds are too different. We still have a lot of questions; we need to understand their past more and see what led them to become the people they are right now. After the cemetery scene, we are not the same readers as we were. 😀

Reaper is a book full of revelations, full of discoveries, and things to look forward to. We see a change in Tristan, a vulnerability, a flinch of emotion, which means progress in his relationship with Morana. We discover a lot of shocking things; we discover what happened to him, but this generates a lot of questions about Morana and the future of their relationship. We see feelings, we see scenes that are not so explicit, but with a few words, we understand the meaning behind all of it.

There is a great difference between Predator and Reaper – things here were a little more dynamic, and revelations happened, plus, the dynamic of the characters was different, because they were already accustomed to each other. We will understand better the plot and the twist the bag guys did, but we will also get a glimpse of Dante and Amara and what happened to them. The book was more vibrant. I felt like I was getting to a point where I received answers and things were clearer, they made more sense.

Again, Tristan was soooooooooooo smooth and so nice to read about, with the same pattern – talking less and showing more. I enjoyed the way his character was drafted, because that intensity and mystery are something I fall for every day. I also loved Morana with her stubbornness, her gentleness, and her kind soul. I feel they are perfect for one another and looking forward to seeing their development in the next books.
