The way she depicts Scotland makes me fall in love with it more and more with each page and every scenario she writes. I sincerely don’t think she can write something bad, like never…
London and Murray are undoubtedly my favorite couple due to the strong connection they share, the emotional challenges they faced, and the obstacles they overcame to be together.
Murray stands out as the most emotional, sensitive, and thoughtful hero in the series. I believe my admiration for him rose from his ability to be vulnerable and openly express his love for London. He loves music, loves to express his feelings through lyrics more than words, and I found that so swooning and loving. The way he is navigating his job, his father responsibilities, and his new marriage with London was very interesting to watch. He is an incredible father who goes to great lengths for his daughter Kelly, even marrying a practical stranger to secure sole custody. Murray had to fight not only for his business and his daughter but also for his place in London’s heart, as nothing in life is guaranteed. He really managed to win me over in a few chapters, because his purpose was so great and his intentions were honorable; you cannot ignore the pull.
London’s story was amazing, and it goes through all 3 books, with her abusive boyfriend, her neglective parents, and her new start in Glenvulin, where she is a chef at her best friend Nee’s B&B. She is not extremely happy with her life, but she cannot figure out right now what is missing and what her next move should be. She is torn between her duty towards Nee and Ramsay for saving her and truly finding her calling. Being in danger of losing her VISA, London approaches Murray with the intention of marriage, being a win-win for them – she stays in Scotland, and he gets full custody of Kelly. London cannot go back, and she is determined to find a way.
What readers don’t know but will find out is that London and Murray are soul mates, destined to happen one way or another. Their chemistry was off the charts, the emotional connection was swooning, and the way they keep on turning back to each other made my heart melt. They are both powerful characters, with courage, free will, and strength, which helps them become better and fight for a purpose.
This was my favorite book, no doubt about it! It had a perfect balance of emotion, romance, suspense, friendship, and drama. The community and characters were wonderful, and there are so many potential stories to continue the series. Most importantly, it was filled with numerous references to Taylor Swift!
